Lord Krishna personally descends within the material world as “Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu” to taste the sweet essence of transcendental mellows and to propagate within the world devotional service on the platform of spontaneous love. Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu sent Goswamis to vrindavan to find the hidden facts of Lord Krishna and his divya leelas and to dedicate their life in propagating harinam sankirtan to confer bhakti.

So at the age of thirty Gopala Bhatta Goswami came to Vrindavan and Mahaprabhu gave him his personal asana (seat) and cloth as signs of his blessings and appointed him as the acharya of Sriman Madhva-Gaudeshwar-Vaishnava Peetham. Later, when Gopal Bhatta heard of the disappearance of Mahaprabhu, he felt great separation from the Lord.
